Our last day in the big apple. Here it is in pictures.
The girls slept in late for the first time while there.
We decided to walk through Battery Park and head to a few other landmarks we wanted to visit.
This use to be near the Twin Towers and survived with damange the explosion.
Steven in front of the 911 site.
The cathedral....
Stock Exchange building...
The infamous Bull....
A quick visit to the Children's Museum of Manhattan. A little disapointed in it's size. But everyone managed to find something fun to do.
Then we headed back towards the hotel to check out .... I snapped this loving picture of the girls sitting in the lobby.
Then we heard drumming from the park across the street and decided to join in. It was a wonderful community drum session.
We ate a late dinner on the water/park and then headed back to Virginia. Perhaps I should document for memory sake that we did attempt to stay another night but between the time we'd checked out, hit the drumming session & dinner, our room had been given away and evidently the Ritz was booked solid. They did arrange a room at nearby hotel but we figured we'd might as well hit the road, rather than drag the kids to another hotel for one night. (It was around 9:30pm).
I completely forgot that you lived in VA...we went to Fairfax for Thanksgiving....
