On Sunday, Alex did speech therapy with daddy. They played checkers together but Alex has a list of articulations she has to complete before she can make a move.
Then we went briefly to support the "Heart the Arts" festival. Just long enough to get a goodie bag, win a Karate lesson, eat a cupcake and sculpt with a little ball of clay.
Then the hubby & I went off to the girls new schools' parent info. session. Here are some photos from around the campus. The Primary House (ages 3-6), Elementary bldg, sandpit, chicken coop & children's garden/picnic area.
On Monday, Jordan had her first day at camp at the Childrens' Museum. She did GREAT....and it helped a lot that one of the asst. teachers is our neighbor :)
Alex also did a half day camp this week at her former school- "Birding".
back at home Jordan did some matching work....

and then the girls played the rest of the evening....
On Tuesday, after camps were done the girls stayed a little longer at the childrens museum.
here are two quick little sheet I drew up for Jordan to do while I cooked dinner.
and here's dinner. I'm really trying to cook using more whole & healthier foods. So we had grilled steak, squash/tomato/onion medly and whole grain pasta with slim mozerella cheese. This larger portioned plate is daddys.
On Wednesday, while both girls are at camp, Kennedy & I were attending story hour at the library. It was so nice to be with her 1:1, as she rarely gets that kind of face time with me. We went nearly everyday this week.
later that evening, the neighborhood friends came by and they decided to hold a watermelon eating contest....
and later Jordan decided to do a few more pieces of work.
I love this sequencing activity because it encourages Jordan to talk through the story. I'm noticing that Jordan also has difficulty with articulation similar to Alex and so we're trying to strengthen her tongue muscles/prevent a lisp.
On Thursday, I gave the girls some facepaints to occupy themselves. Great investment from the Target dollar bins.
and even Kennedy got in the mix. Alex painted an apple tree on her cheek. I didn't give Kennedy the face paints. Instead I gaver her old tupperware, some water, sea shells, scooper and some random objects to experiment with. She was as happy as a clam.
What a neat school! It looks like your kids will have a lot of fun and learning there.

Reading that you're trying to cook healthier I think you'll like the Popsicle recipe on my blog that we tried.
How old is Jordan again if you don't mind me asking...I'm guessing 3 but I do recall that your girls are tall for their age and I shouldn't guess by height.
