I know, I know. There are TONS of book challenges out in cyberworld and many of my dear bloggers are either involved in one or the host of one.
However, I have a hard time sticking to deadlines or forcing myself to follow through on long term projects, in which there is no accountability for me to complete it. So, I'm posting it here that I plan to read aloud the following Cybils books:
I'm hoping that from time to time, those of you who read this blog will leave me a comment reminding me of this commitment. I decided to try this self-imposed challenge because Alex is already leaving hints that she's getting too old for me to read these "baby books" to her. I'm not sure when picture books became baby books, but I want to encourage her to stay in the world of beautiful illustrations for as long as possible. We will continue with our main weekly chapter books (this week is Mrs. Piggle Wiggle) but I'm going to really start pushing the picture books more.
I checked out the following books this Saturday (there would have been more but since I had fines, I couldn't pre-order the books online, and these are the ones I actually had time to manually search for). Since there are so few I'm trying to stretch it to one book per day, with Tuesday being a St. Patrick's Day book.
Are there any picture books from Cybils that you absolutely recommend?.....or felt -why the heck is this book on here?
